Introduction

Callahan-Young LLC d/b/a Jigsawdio ("Company" or "We") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes:

• The types of information we may collect or that you may provide when you purchase, download, install, register with, access, or use the Jigsawdio application (the "App").
• Our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

This policy applies only to information we collect in this App and in email, text, and other electronic communications sent through or in connection with this App.

This policy DOES NOT apply to information that:

• We collect offline or on any other Company apps or websites.
• You provide to or is collected by any third party (see Service Providers and Third-Party Technologies).

Our websites and apps, and these other third parties may have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read before providing information on or through them.

Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not download, register with, or use this App. By downloading, registering with, or using this App, you agree to this privacy policy. This policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy below). Your continued use of this App after we revise this policy means you accept those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.

Individuals Under the Age of 18

Individuals under 18 may not create their own account or independently submit personal information through the App. Children may participate in activities using the App only under the direct supervision of a parent, legal guardian, educator, caregiver, or other responsible adult who is the account holder. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from individuals under 18 in violation of this policy. If we learn that we have collected personal information from an individual under 18 in a manner inconsistent with this policy, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Information We Collect and How We Collect It

We collect information from and about users of our App:

• Directly from you when you provide it to us.
• Automatically when you use the App.

Information You Provide to Us  

When you download, register with, or use this App, we may ask youto provide information:

• By which you may be personally identified, such as name, email address, telephone number, personal photo, or any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline ("personal information").

This information includes:

• Information that you provide by filling in forms in the App. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use the App, subscribing to our service, and requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with the App.
• Information you provide to use the features of the App and any resulting products.
• Depending on how you use the App, you may provide photographs, audio or voice recordings, written captions, stories, descriptions, puzzle content, and other materials that you choose to upload, create, save, or share through the App. These materials may contain personal information about you or other individuals. You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to provide content relating to other individuals.
• If you choose to submit User Content for consideration for inclusion in the Jigsawdio Public Library, and the submission is approved, that content may be made available to other users of the App. Content you keep in your private library is not made publicly available through the Public Library unless you choose to submit it.
• Records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses and phone numbers), if you contact us.
• Your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes.

Photo and Image Processing

The App may use automated image-processing technology to assist users when selecting or preparing photographs for use in puzzles and other App features.

On supported Apple devices, certain image-processing functions may be performed using Apple-provided technology directly on the device.

On supported Android devices, certain image-processing functions may use Google ML Kit, MediaPipe, or similar Google-provided technology. Image processing is designed to occur on the device. Jigsawdio does not send photographs or image-analysis results to Google for the purpose of performing this processing. Google may receive limited technical, diagnostic, performance, or usage information associated with its software components.

Jigsawdio does not use these image-processing features to identify individuals, authenticate users through their faces, or create biometric profiles.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we or our service providers may automatically collect limited technical and usage information necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App. This may include information such as device type, operating system, App version, login and session activity, feature usage, error and crash information, diagnostic information, and application performance information.

We use this information to operate and troubleshoot the App, understand how App features are functioning, maintain security, and improve the reliability and usability of the App.

Service Providers and Third-Party Technologies

We may use third-party service providers and technology providers to help us operate, host, maintain, secure, support, and improve the App. Depending on the features you use, these providers may process limited information on our behalf or provide software components used by the App.

These providers may include cloud hosting and storage providers, authentication providers, application monitoring and error-reporting providers, Apple and Google platform services, and other technology providers used to deliver App functionality.

For Android users, certain image-processing features may use Google ML Kit, MediaPipe, or related Google technology as described in the “Photo and Image Processing” section above.

Third-party services may collect limited technical, diagnostic, device, or usage information according to their own privacy practices. We do not authorize third-party service providers to use personal information obtained through Jigsawdio for their own behavioral advertising purposes.

How We Use Your Information

We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information, to:

• Provide you with the App and its contents, and any other information, products or services that you request from us.
• Fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.
• Give you notices about your account or subscription, including expiration and renewal notices.
• Carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection.
• Notify you when App updates are available, and of changes to any products or services we offer or provide through it.
• Enable users to create, save, access, share, and play personalized puzzle content and other App content.
• Process photographs, audio, written content, and other materials submitted by users in order to provide requested App features.
• Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, test, and improve the App and its functionality.
• Detect and investigate errors, technical problems, misuse, or security incidents.
• Respond to user questions, support requests, and communications.
• Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, and research-related requirements.

The usage information we collect helps us to improve our App and to deliver a better and more personalized experience by enabling us to:

• Estimate our audience size and usage patterns.
• Store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize our App according to your individual interests.
• Maintain your account and signed-in experience.

Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose aggregated information about our users and information that does not identify any individual or device without restriction.

In addition, we may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide:

• To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business.
• These service providers are permitted to process information only as necessary to provide services to us and subject to applicable contractual, confidentiality, and security requirements.
• To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Company’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by Company about our App users is among the assets transferred.
• To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.
• For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.
• With your consent.
• To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.
• To enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including our Terms of Service and for billing and collection.
• If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Company, our customers or others.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information and user-created content for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App and its services, maintain user accounts, comply with legal or contractual obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and maintain appropriate business and research records.

Users may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information or account, subject to applicable legal, contractual, research, security, and record-retention requirements.

When information is deleted, certain copies may remain temporarily in backups or system records until they are deleted through our normal retention and backup processes.

Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information appropriate to the nature of the information and the services we provide.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our App, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet and mobile platforms is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted through our App. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures we provide.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update our privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how we treat our users’ personal information, we will post the updated privacy policy and, when appropriate, provide notice through the App or by other means. We encourage you to review this privacy policy periodically for updates.
